From BAD to GOOD

After writing the YES WE CAN pledge , I realized that aside from a fab workout wardrobe , we need an actual plan! Looking good on the outside is fab but let’s clean our filthy insides first.So I am not here to boast on my dieting or cleansing capabilities , but having been on every possible fad diets in the entire universe , yes litterally!!! (my Bestie can attest to this) I pretty much know a thing or two about losing and gaining.

One thing I omitted to mention is how much I HATE is those workout videos of people going on an on about how they did it by buying this and that but come on there is only one solution and everyone know what it is right ?

Calories in——Calories out

1 Pound = 3500 calories

So in order to lose 2 pounds a week , we need a deficit of 7000 calories?Math not your forte?neither is it mine but put simply

Just breathing we burn 800 calories in 24 hour cycle, we need to consume 1200 calories per day plus move and extra 800-1000 , that is like walking a few hours at a slow to moderate pace and easily we can lose 1 pound a week.

Let’s prep our bodies to take-on the gym or the outdoors.

For one week we cannot do the following:

-No alcohol

-No soda

-No refined sugar

-No fried anything !!!!come just for a week

-No desserts

-No Pasta

-No White bread

But we have to switch everything whole :

-Whole grain

-Whole milk

-Butter-No Margarine

-Nothing in our bodies that ends with OSE , GlucOSE,fructOSE etc…

-Nothing that we cannot read off the label, and if you can read and can’t describe exactly what it is and where it comes from,DO NOT PUT IT IN YOUR BODY -NO EXCUSES

-Swap coffee for tea

-Make Kale chips instead of really chips-in all seriousness they are good !

-Eat pomegranate-it’s a great antioxidant and it’s in season

I found these great Juice recipes, I prefer juicing on the weekend and if you can last 2 days with htese it will kick start your system and rejuvenate , not only your skin but clear you stomach and liver !

Beet Juice

1 medium beet

4 medium carrots

1/2  bunch of cilantro

1/2 of a peeled lime

4 (1×1 inch) pieces of ginger

1 and 1/2 peeled oranges

All Green everything

9 Kale leaved

10 long dandelion leaves( there are the dry one or open up a tea bag)

1/2 bunch of parsley

1 and 1/2 peeled lemons

3 celery stalks

1 and 1/2  cucumbers

Berry Smoothie

1 cup coconut water

1 cup almond milk

1 cup frozen pineapple

1 cup frozen blueberries

1/2 cup fresh mint leaves

1/2 lemon juice

1 tablespoon coconut oil

4-6 drops stevia-to taste

Strawberry Banana

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 banana

3-4 inch piece of fresh ginger  grated

1/4 cup raw almonds

1/2 lemon juice

1 cup cold-pressed apple juice-or from concentrate

1 cup almond milk
